Lance Corporal Erick J. Hodges, '2001
November 9, 1983 - November 10, 2004

Erick J. Hodges served his high school community as a member of the JROTC program at MDHS, and after 9/11, he joined the Marines to serve his country.  It has been proposed that the JROTC classroom at MDHS be named "Hodges Hall."

On a second tour of duty in Iraq, Hodges gave his life on Tuesday as he fought to rid the city of Fallujah of insurgents.

Medina (Rafallo) Santos, '85, who was crowned Homecoming Queen 20 years ago, her son, Nathan, Ginny Hadden, '54, and Joe Funderburg, '51 worked the MDHS Alumni Association Table together (with Larry Prosper, '67 and Christina Huvelle, '85 - not pictured)  at Homecoming 2004 on October 15.

The Red Devils lost to Northgate, but the alumni had a good time together.  We raised enough money that we were able to raffle off stadium blankets to two lucky winners at half time!
