Ron DeBeaumont, '49
My not so favorite memory was dropping out before completion of my senior year. Pete Kramer tried hard to get me to stay and I always appreciated that effort, but personal circumstances persisted. I made up for it shortly after but I always regretted leaving what could have provided some very favorite memories.  Hope I can still be considered a member of the class of '49.

Lavona "Mona" (Greene)-Clark, '50

Mike Navone, '56
The years spent at Diablo, the activities, the involvement, student and educational climate, the caring, the successes, were very special. Over the years things have changed. I think that kids today get so much less.  Remember: The Football games, The excitement, The white section (one of dad's white shirts), The card stunts, The assemblies, Mr. Kramer,The inter-class relays, The senior banquet, the dances, the after the game/dance activities, The friends, The Tuna rolls, The lunch time movies, The old auditorium, How big the seniors were (when we were freshmen). The way Dr. Diel presented awards.

At my age now I look back and appreciate the memories of the good old days at Mt. Diablo High. The friends, the activities, being young and no worries. But isn't it funny because back then you would look ahead and want to get a good job get married and play house. That's time for you, we all seem to look ahead or look behind. And now at my age 65 I'm enjoying each day one at a time.

Summit Seekers - especially the Lafayette Reservoir Fiasco. Flexi-days - a concept that added great appeal to being in school and allowed many students to experience previews of potential careers and many interesting subjects. The rebellious free spirit that evolved in the late sixties and early seventies that will forever remain endeared in the minds of the students who lived through and in spite of it. But I imagine high on everyone's list will always be Zombies.
