A $200 scholarship is given each year in Oliver's name to a highly successful senior social studies student who may major in history, economics, political science, international studies/business, etc.

Warner B. Halgren
Began his teaching career in 1936. In 1961 he moved to Orinda, Calif., teaching in the Mt. Diablo School District until retiring in 1974.
Lewis was living in Wendell, North Carolina for the previous 9 years, (and) had been working for Baker Roofing Company as team foreman when he passed away. Lewis was survived by his fiancee Chantelle, his 12 year old daughter Shari-Ann, his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hunt (Allen class of 1955) and sister Heather Hunt (class of 1988). The family has asked that in signing this guest book please share your memories of Lewis as these will go into his daughter's "Memory" book to help her keep him close to her heart. David Luther Jones, '62
Student Body President in 1961-62. Member of the marching band. He was a big football star while at Mt. Diablo, winning many awards and remained in touch with Coach Fairclough for many years. Dave died in Houston, Texas in 1998 of cancer. His best friend of all those years was still Harry York. Dave was a teacher and coach, he had one son and two daughters and has seven grandchildren.
Ronald Ray Jones, '64
Member of the marching band. Ron had a great personality and sense of humor. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and was a police officer for Benicia, CA. After he was a nuclear submarine pipefitter at Mare Island. He died in 1999 after a extended stay in the hospital with an infection that took over his body. Ron and Sandra Jones, '65 met in high school and went together throughout school. They were married in 1966 and did not have any children. Ron and Sandra were married thirty-three years.
"David died suddenly of a heart attack while visiting his son Loran in Germany, he left behind his lovely wife Nancy, daughter Audrey and above mentioned son. He is so very muched missed by his sister Karyn and parents Bill and Thelma Arnold."
